Since its founding in 1986, the National Council of Ghanaian Associations (NCOGA) has been a pillar of community engagement and cultural preservation. In October 2024, the NCOGA Young Adult and Youth (YAY) was established as a dynamic branch of the organization, dedicated to empowering the next generation of Ghanaian leaders.
Recognizing the need for intentional growth and impact, the leaders of the newly formed council came together to create five core pillars that drive the mission and vision of NCOGA YAY. These pillars serve as the foundation for our initiatives, ensuring that young Ghanaians have access to opportunities while also embracing their cultural heritage and making meaningful contributions on a global scale.
At NCOGA YAY, we believe in bringing Ghanaians to the forefront of opportunities while setting the standard for what it means to honor our roots and thrive as global citizens. Through our initiatives, members have the chance to engage, lead, and support efforts that align with our vision for collective success.
On March 8, 2025, during the Ghana Independence Gala and Fundraising Event, the inaugural leadership team was officially announced—marking the beginning of a new era of impact and purpose. As we move forward, we remain committed to building this legacy with a renewed mandate and a focused desire to be leaders in various fields across the world. The first time I encountered the dedicated team from Good Heart, I was greeted not just with supplies but with genuine empathy. It wasn't just about distributing essentials; it was about acknowledging our pain, our fears, and our dreams for a better tomorrow.
